A Global Pledge Invitation for Families

A take-home conversation starter. No fundraising, membership, or political affiliation is required.

Dear Family,

Our class has been exploring a simple question: How can people with different backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions learn to live and work together more peacefully?

We used the Global Pledge as a starting point:

“I pledge allegiance to the Planet Earth,
to make it a better, healthier and safer world for all.”

The pledge does not replace a national pledge or ask families to agree about politics. It is simply an invitation to think about our shared humanity and the choices that make homes, schools, communities, and the world safer and more cooperative.
